Troutman Pepper Locke
At the start of 2025, Troutman Pepper and Locke Lord merged to form Troutman Pepper Locke LLP, a law firm with over 1,600 attorneys across 33 offices in the United States and Europe.
Our history with Troutman extends back over a decade when we partnered with a creative team to deliver (for Troutman Sanders) a comprehensive refresh to align the firm’s communications, branding, and digital presence. The firm has grown strategically through mergers, and in 2020, we refreshed the site after the firm merged with Pepper Hamilton.
Before this latest full-site launch, RubyLaw developed a custom landing page to announce the merger and let clients and prospects preview the benefits of the combined firm.
Content integration was of the utmost importance for the new site. It was seamless using the RubyLaw Content Import feature, allowing the Troutman Pepper Locke team to quickly and easily make mass changes to information like email addresses and office locations for attorneys quickly and easily. Other large sets of data, including entire Blogs and their accompanying Blog Posts, were also imported using this RubyLaw feature. The Troutman Pepper Locke team also utilized the RubyLaw Word Bio Import feature, allowing them to rewrite all of the new attorney bios in Word and import them directly into RubyLaw. This maintained all formatting and styling, which saved the team countless hours of manual edits.
The Troutman Pepper Locke website has added a new Experience section highlighting matters and cases for a richer user experience. The site also includes abundant thought leadership, providing more opportunities for current and prospective clients to engage with the firm. With RubyLaw Smart Search, visitors can quickly and easily find the most relevant information.
Meanwhile, a floating side navigation tool made bio searching more straightforward, and custom PDF generation provided attorneys and supporting staff with dynamically generated documents.
The new website emphasizes the benefits of the recent Troutman Pepper Locke merger. Chair, Tom Cole says, “This merger is a strategic leap forward, allowing us to offer an even broader and deeper suite of services to help clients solve complex legal challenges,”
