Schulte Roth & Zabel

The latest iteration of the  Schulte site launched in early 2024 and won awards from Transform Magazine and the Global Ace Awards. It was also recognized by GDUSA Magazine's American Graphic Design Awards in the "Website + Online Design" category. However, the RubyLaw + Schulte partnership goes back much further than this new site.

In 2012, as the legal landscape shifted towards a digital-first experience, top-tier law firm Schulte Roth & Zabel (“Schulte”) wanted to get ahead of the curve and revamp its online presence while strengthening its marketing messaging. They redesigned and re-platformed the site on RubyLaw. This initiative gave Schulte complete control over its site and brand and has served the firm for nearly a decade.

In 2023, they looked to revamp the site again. As a leader in financial services, specifically private capital, the front-end website didn’t reflect its unique position in the market. The firm hired Agenda to perform extensive qualitative and quantitative research, which helped to unlock a bold new identity and visual aesthetic that accurately conveys Schulte’s impact and focus.

RubyLaw is a headless CMS; the website's front end (that visitors see) can be updated, modified, and redesigned without replacing the back-end system where the firm’s content is stored. In the case of Schulte, this meant they could make extensive changes without going through the time-consuming, costly, and sometimes error-prone content migration process.

The firm utilizes the RubyLaw Super Template on its careers, diversity, and pro bono pages. This allows the firm to customize the templates with videos, callouts, and highlights.

Schulte also has RubyLaw document export. The team can export MS Word documents directly from the CMS for their attorney bio and service pages. Depending on the user's intent, they can export single pages or a collection of pages. This feature allows them to customize and update key pages for business development initiatives and pitch materials.

The site also runs RubyLaw Integrity, an integrated error-checking tool that scans and provides reporting on content integrity and stability. This allows users to instantly correct spelling errors, syntax, broken images, and links, as well as a solution to highlight words/terms that the firm restricts from being shown in their marketing materials.

This new website positions the firm for continued success in the coming decade.
