INTROS & APPETIZERS

Are you more likely to have your flight delayed at JFK or DFW? Whose side are you on: Drake or Kendrick Lamar? When in LA, would you rather do pizza at Pizzeria Sei or Pizzana?

These very important questions make for a very interesting survey.

The problem, though, is that knowing this community’s preferences, while great for an icebreaker, won’t serve us moving forward.

Unless, of course, we’re on a delayed flight from JFK bound for LAX, where we have a pizza dinner date, and we need to know which hip-hop diss track is better served on the runway with a side of pepperoni.

Thankfully, though, we have such a survey to satisfy the “I want to take a survey” craving and the “how can we all benefit from it?” question. That, of course, is the survey behind the Legal Marketing Technology Ecosystem Study, and you can find out more about it below in the first item of this month’s RubyRoundup.

In addition, we’ve got a great thought piece to pair—or decouple, frankly—with that in our second item below.

Finally, our awesome and expert Client Experience team has a fantastic topic for this month’s RubyLaw Live—bio amplification—which you can sign up for at the bottom.

Have an awesome May.

ANNOUNCEMENTS, LAUNCHES, & BREAKTHROUGHS

Legal Marketing Technology Ecosystem Study: Take part today!

Thank you to the LMA for partnering with RubyLaw on this year’s Legal Marketing Technology Ecosystem Study. Our annual research initiative identifies gaps and opportunities for law firms of all sizes.

Whether you’re a legal marketer or business developer on a team of 20 or one, your input and participation are highly valued and appreciated.

The survey requires about 10 minutes, and we’ll send you a custom version of your firm’s marketing technology stack in a few days. We’ve also expanded the options to provide a more holistic and inclusive representation of the legal marketing industry. Also, if you have questions, please visit our FAQs.

Some things are better when coupled. A CMS is not one of them.

Have you seen our ongoing “Better Together” series on social media?

If you haven’t, look forward to it popping up on LinkedIn, Facebook, and X on Wednesdays through June, revealing pairings that work well together and, importantly, one that doesn’t.

The campaign is fun, but its intention is serious: a headless CMS is the way to go, particularly for law firms seeking flexibility and more options for evolving front-end designs without assuming the cost and burden of making back-end changes.

Fortunately for RubyLaw users, RubyLaw Content is headless, so the many associated benefits are already yours to enjoy.

RubyLaw Live: Amplify your firm’s bios — 5/16 at 4pm ET

Please join us for the May edition of RubyLaw Live, our monthly expert session on Thursday, May 16, at 4pm ET.

Although we’ve yet to (formally) share our research, we've examined law firm bio pages and found that nearly 30% of all visitors enter a firm's website via a professional bio page.

Most legal marketers know the importance of lawyer bios; however, this data confirms the belief.

Accordingly, we’ll focus the May RubyLaw Live program on examining how to optimize professional bios templates in RubyLaw. This discussion will range from “snackable content” to related, recommended, and trending content, each offering a powerful way to engage your website visitors.

This event is open to RubyLaw clients only.
